What is the Reservation/Deposit Fee?

Once you have decided you are interested in moving forward with bringing home an aussiedoodle puppy from Ridgeline Doodles, please fill out the Puppy Application. Once submitted, we will promptly look over it and ask you any remaining questions. If your application is approved, and you are found to be a perfect puppy parent you will place a $500 non-refundable reservation fee. This secures your spot in line for puppy picks. Puppy picks will happen in order of reservation spot after all of the temperament testing and vet evaluation has been completed at week 6. So the quicker you get things done, the better your spot in line and the more puppies you have to choose from!

When do we pick our puppy?

Our clients don’t pick out their puppy until the litter is 6 weeks old. Two things need to take place before a person picks their fur-ever best friend. First, we want our vet to perform their professional evaluation on each puppy and make specific notes regarding any issues that are present at the time. During this visit the puppies will get their first set of vaccines and microchip. Second, we strive to place the best possible puppy in each home. Meaning that we wait until week 6 in order to know as much about each puppies natural personality as well as the coat type. We have all types of family units come to us wanting puppies and we want to fill their needs with the right puppy for them! Someone might need a high confidence agility puppy with a wavy coat. While another family may really need a curly coated chill buddy. How are we to match these puppies and families from just newborn photos? We can’t and don’t! That is our reason for waiting. We want to give our puppies a voice! If those two puppies mentioned landed in each others home, they would not be set up for success. While their owners would love them regardless I’m sure, they would not be fulfilling the wants and needs of their families if their own “voice” was not heard through their temperament testing.

We strive to be a responsible and ethical breeder of our Aussiedoodles.

Can I visit?

Thank you for your interest in meeting our puppies. Because we have your future puppies' health and happiness as our priority, we prefer not to endanger them by introducing them to unknown germs, bacteria and over stimulation.  As a part of the training, education, and health for your puppy, we work 24/7 to introduce them to age and health appropriate stimulation.  This decision and plan was made in conjunction with our veterinary staff. We are very excited to share photos and videos with you online, as well as answer any questions you have about how your puppy is doing.  We look forward to working with you as a partner in your future family members' progress.

Puppy Pick-Up

Puppy Pick-Up is usually the weekend after puppies turn 8 weeks. That weekend, families are welcome to choose a time slot on Saturday or Sunday for pick-up from our home.

Do you live states away and cannot drive in for puppy pick-up? Please let us know and we will make a plan for meet up or a delivery for a reasonable cost.

If you are unable to make it on the scheduled pickup weekend, we will gladly keep your puppy for up to 1 week past the set date for no added charge. If you are in need of additional time before bringing home your new puppy, you may choose the “extended puppy package” in which we will keep and board your puppy for up to 2 weeks past the pick-up window. This package is $75 per week and must be paid in advance.

What if something happens and I cannot keep my puppy/dog?

When you purchase a puppy/dog from us they will always have a home for life. This meaning, if ever you can no longer keep them, we their breeder, will always accept them back. This applies to any puppy/dog purchased from us at any age and at any point in time.

If you get your aussiedoodle puppy home and within 10 days you have changed your mind and have decided it is not the right time and you can no longer care for your puppy to your highest ability, we will purchase your puppy back at your purchase price (not including your reserve list fee) minus the cost of a vet visit that we will have in order to ensure the pup is in as good of health as it was when it left in addition to any cost of medication required to get them back to optimal health.

Are the puppies Hypoallergenic?

The simple answer is no. People can be allergic to dogs in 3 main ways: saliva, dander, and urine. This makes the word hypoallergenic misleading, as no dog is truly hypoallergenic. What helps the doodle be more allergy friendly is their low to non shedding coat but it isn’t a guarantee that you won’t be allergic to the saliva or urine.

We reserve the right to refuse any sale and/or dissolve any agreement, at any time, for any reason, with a full refund, prior to delivery (before 8 weeks/go-home day) in and for the best interest of our puppies.
