Here at Ridgeline Doodles, all of our puppies are whelped and raised right here under our roof. While any “breeder” can claim that their puppies are housed, raised, and loved in a home type environment you will see that most don’t provide proof. As responsible breeders who pride ourselves on all of the extra work and content that we put into our puppies and in our program, we want to show you as much as we can about our lives and the lives of our dogs and puppies. We aspire to show off this hard work and for you to feel confident in placing your trust in us.

Transparency has become a valid and highly  important argument when clients are choosing a breeder. Puppy mills exist, whether we want them to or not. A goal of mine is to be sure that no one can look at our program and find anything comparable to what is found on one of those dreaded puppy mill farms.

Be sure to watch the attached video that will walk you through a very simple but vital part of the morning routine with neonatal puppies. While this is not the entirety of the curriculum performed each day, it is a very important aspect of whelping and raising to clearly display where our mama and puppies reside. This video will show you a piece of our nursery. This room is known as our sunroom and is directly off our kitchen and has a very convenient outside door to our yard for mamas. The sunroom has the most natural light anywhere in the house and has an easily cleanable tile floor.

In this short video, I will also walk through how I change the bedding in our whelping box, sanitize it, and do a reset; which takes place 2x a day. There is also some bonus content of one of our mama dog meals that she gets in addition to her 24/7 available kibble!

So please take a few minutes and watch this video and I promise it will help you to realize that there is no better place for your puppy to be raised than right here in our home at Ridgeline Doodles.
